✧ The shroud

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ:

يُكَفَّنُ الْمَيِّتُ فِي وِتْرِ قَمِيصٍ وَلُفَافَتَيْنِ، يُلْبَسُ الْقَمِيصُ، وَتُبْسَطُ اللُّفَافَةُ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى، ثُمَّ يُدْرَجُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَزَالُ عَلَيْهِ الْقَمِيصُ ".

Translation

✧ The deceased is shrouded in an odd number: a shirt and two wrappers. The shirt is put on, and one wrapper is spread over the other, then he is rolled up in them, and the shirt remains on him.
