عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
سَأَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَائِشَةَ فِي كَمْ كُفِّنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ؟ قَالَتْ: فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ قَالَ: وَأَنَا كَفِّنُونِي فِي ثَلَاثَةٍ: ثَوْبِي هَذَا، وَبِهِ مَشَقٌّ، مَعَ ثَوْبَيْنِ آخَرَيْنِ، وَاغْسِلُوا، لِثَوْبِهِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَلْبَسُ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: أَلَا نَشْتَرِي لَكَ جَدِيدًا ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا، الْحَيُّ أَحْوَجُ إِلَى الْجَدِيدِ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ لِلْمُهْلَةِ. أَيُّ يَوْمٍ مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَتْ: يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ قَالَ: " أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا ؟ " قَالَتْ: يَوْمُ الِاثْنَيْنِ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو إِلَى اللَّيْلِ، فَتُوُفِّيَ حِينَ أَمْسَى، وَدُفِنَ مِنْ لَيْلَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصْبِحَ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from his father, who said:
✧ Abu Bakr asked Aisha in how many garments the Prophet ﷺ was shrouded. She said: 'In three garments.' He said: 'Then shroud me in three: this garment of mine, which has a mark on it, along with two other garments. And wash the garment he used to wear.' Aisha said: 'Should we not buy new ones for you?' He said: 'No, the living are more in need of new things. It is only for the pus.' On which day did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ die? She said: 'On Monday.' He said: 'What day is this?' She said: 'Monday.' He said: 'I hope to make it until night.' He died when evening came, and was buried that very night before morning.
