عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ:
نص إضافيكُنْتُ مَعَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَهُوَ يَتَّبِعُ جِنَازَةً مَعَهَا مِجْمَرٌ يُتَّبَعُ بِهَا، فَرَمَى بِهَا فَكَسَرَهَا وَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: لَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِأَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ
Translation
✧ I was with Sa'id b. Jubayr while he was following a funeral procession with an incense burner that was being followed with it. He threw it and broke it, and said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas say: Do not imitate the People of the Book.
