✧ A man who dies among women and women among men

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ

أَنَّ جَارِيَةً لِصَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَرِضَتْ مَعَهُمْ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَقَالَ لَهَا نَافِعٌ: مَرِضَتْ وَلِيدَتُكِ مَعَنَا، فَقَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ: أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ مَاتَتْ كَيْفَ إِذًا صَنَعْتُمْ بِهَا ؟ " قُلْتُ: لَا أَدْرِي قَالَتْ: " تُدْفَنُ كَمَا هِيَ

Translation

✧ A slave girl of Safiyyah bt. Abi 'Ubayd fell ill with them on a journey. Nafi' said to her: 'Your slave girl fell ill with us.' Safiyyah said: 'Tell me, if she died, how would you deal with her?' I said: 'I don't know.' She said: 'She is buried as she is.'
