✧ Whoever washes a deceased person should perform ghusl or wudu

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: أَعَلَى مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا غُسْلٌ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، قَدْ إِذَنْ نَجَّسُوا صَاحِبَهُمْ، وَلَكِنْ وُضُوءٌ
Translation
✧ Ibn ʿAbbās was asked: Does the one who washes a deceased person have to perform ghusl? He said: "No, in that case they would have deemed their companion impure; rather, it is wudu."
