عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ قَالَ:
دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ، وَوَافَقَ دُخُولَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ خُرُوجُ نَفْسِهِ، فَسَمِعَ بُكَاءً فَقَالَ: لَا تَدْعُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ؛ فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَحْضُرُ الْمَيِّتَ "، أَوْ قَالَ: " أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ، فَيُؤَمِّنُوا عَلَى دُعَائِهِمْ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ ذُنُوبَهُ، وَأَفْسِحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ، وَأَعْظِمْ نُورَهُ، وَأَضِئْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْفَعْ دَرَجَةَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ، وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْبَصَرَ شَخَصَ لِلرُّوحِ، أَلَمْ تَرَوْا إِلَى شُخُوصِ عَيْنَيْهِ ؟
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon Abu Salamah while he was sick, and the Prophet's ﷺ entry coincided with the departure of his soul. He heard weeping and said: "Do not supplicate against yourselves except for good; for the angels are present with the dying person," or he said: "the family of the house, and they say amin to their supplication." Then he said: "O God, forgive him his sins, make his grave spacious, magnify his light, and illuminate for him in his grave. O God, raise the degree of Abu Salamah among the guided ones, and be his successor among his descendants who remain, and forgive him, Lord of the worlds." Then he said: "The sight fixed on the soul. Do you not see how his eyes are staring?"
