✧ Closing the eyes of the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ قَالَ:

إِذَا أَغْمَضْتَ الْمَيِّتَ فَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَى وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَإِذَا حَمَلْتَ الْمَيِّتَ فَقُلْ: بِسْمِ اللهِ وَسَبِّحْ

Translation

✧ When you close the eyes of the deceased, say: 'In the name of God, upon the death of the Messenger of God ﷺ.' And when you carry the deceased, say: 'In the name of God, and glorify Him.'
