عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ كَانَ لَا يَأْمُرُ بَنِيهِ بِتَعْلِيمِ الْقُرْآنِ، إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مُتَعَلِّمًا فَلْيَتَعَلَّمْ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ فَإِنَّهُ أَيْسَرُ
Translation
✧ Umar did not command his sons to learn the Quran, but if any of you is learning, let him learn from the Mufassal, for it is easier.
