✧ Using the tooth-stick (siwak)

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: الِاسْتِنَانُ فِي يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ ؟ قَالَ: " لَمْ يَبْلُغْنِي أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُؤْمَرُ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَيُخَصُّ، وَلَكِنَّهُ بَلَغَنَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: 'Cleaning the teeth on the day of Fitr?' He said: 'It has not reached me that it was specifically enjoined on the day of Fitr. But it has reached us from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: Were it not that I would impose hardship on my community, I would have commanded them to use the tooth-stick for every prayer.'
