عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً حَدَّثَتْهَا قَالَتْ:
غَزَا زَوْجِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ غَزْوَةً، فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ فِي خَمْسٍ مِنْهُنَّ، فَكُنَّا نَقُومُ عَلَى الْمَرْضَى، وَنُدَاوِي الْكَلْمَى، وَأُمِرْنَا فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ أَنَّ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ أَنْ يُلْبِسَهَا صَاحِبَتُهَا مَعَهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا، قَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ: " فَقَدِمَتْ عَلَيْنَا أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهَا، فَقَالَتْ: " نَعَمْ بِأَبِي هُوَ وَأُمِّي أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُخْرِجَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ الْعَوَاتِقَ وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ وَالْحُيَّضَ " قَالَتْ: " فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الْمُصَلَّى وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Translation
✧ My husband went on twelve military expeditions with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and I went out with him on five of them. We used to attend to the sick and treat the wounded. We were commanded on the two Eids that whoever did not have a jilbāb, her companion should let her wear one of her own jilbābs with her. Ḥafṣa said: 'Then Umm ʿAṭiyya al-Anṣāriyya came to us, and I mentioned that to her. She said: "Yes, by his father and mother, he commanded us to bring out on the two Eids the young unmarried women, those in seclusion, and the menstruating women." She said: "As for the menstruating women, they keep away from the prayer place, but they witness the good and the supplication of the Muslims."
