✧ The greatness of the day of Friday

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
لَا تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا تَغْرُبُ عَلَى يَوْمٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا يَفْزَعُ لِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا هَذَيْنِ الثَّقَلَيْنِ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ، عَلَى كُلِّ بَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ مَلَكَانِ يَكْتُبَانِ الْأَوَّلَ فَالْأَوَّلَ، فَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَقَرَةً، وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً، وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ طَائِرًا، وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً، فَإِذَا قَعَدَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ
Translation
✧ The sun does not rise nor set on a day better than Friday. There is no creature but that it is alarmed for Friday except these two heavy ones: jinn and humans. At every door of the mosque there are two angels writing down the first then the next. So it is like a man who presents a cow, like a man who presents a sheep, like a man who presents a bird, and like a man who presents an egg. When the imam sits, the scrolls are folded up.
