✧ The greatness of the day of Friday

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْأَغَرُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، صَاحِبُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ جَلَسَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بِأَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَيَكْتُبُونَ مَنْ جَاءَ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ طَوَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ الصُّحُفَ وَدَخَلَتْ تَسْمَعُ الذِّكْرَ، قَالَ: وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: الْمُهَجِّرُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ كَالْمُهْدِي بَدَنَةً، ثُمَّ كَالْمُهْدِي بَقَرَةً، فَكَالْمُهْدِي شَاةً، ثُمَّ كَالْمُهْدِي دَجَاجَةً، ثُمَّ كَالْمُهْدِي - حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ -: بَيْضَةً
Translation
✧ When Friday comes, the angels sit at the doors of the mosque and write down those who come to Friday prayer. When the imam comes out, the angels fold up the scrolls and enter to listen to the remembrance. He said: The Prophet ﷺ said: The one who comes early to Friday prayer is like one who offers a camel, then like one who offers a cow, then like one who offers a sheep, then like one who offers a chicken, then like one who offers—I think he said—an egg.
