✧ Prayer before and after the Friday prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَوْ غَيْرِهِ
أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ، صَلَّى مَعَ زِيَادٍ الْجُمُعَةَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بَعْدَهَا أَرْبَعًا، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: لَمْ يَعْتَدَّ بِصَلَاةِ زِيَادٍ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عِمْرَانَ، فَقَالَ: " لَأَنْ تَخْتَلِفَ الْخَنَاجِرُ فِي جَوْفِي أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ الْجُمُعَةُ الْآخِرَةُ صَلَّى مَعَهُ الْجُمُعَةَ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ شَيْئًا حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ
Translation
✧ ‘Imran b. Husayn prayed Friday prayer with Ziyad, then stood and prayed four rak‘ahs after it. The people said: “He did not consider Ziyad’s prayer valid.” That reached ‘Imran, and he said: “If daggers were plunged into my belly, that would be dearer to me than doing this.” The next Friday, he prayed Friday prayer with him, then sat and did not pray anything until he prayed ‘Asr.
