✧ A man coming while the imam is giving the khutbah

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لَهُ: جِئْتَ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَتَرْكَعُ ؟ قَالَ: " أَمَّا وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَلَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَرْكَعَ
Translation
✧ I asked him: If you arrive while the imam is delivering the Friday sermon, should you pray two rak‘ahs? He replied: “As for when the imam is delivering the sermon, I would not pray.”
