✧ What Invalidates Jumu'ah

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، وَغَيْرُهُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ،
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَرَأَ آيَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: يَا أُبَيُّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ أَهَكَذَا تَقْرَؤُهَا ؟ فَصَمَتَ عَنْهُ أُبَيٌّ، وَكَانُوا فِي الْجُمُعَةِ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، قَالَ أُبَيٌّ لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: لَمْ تُجَمِّعِ الْيَوْمَ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " صَدَقَ أُبَيٌّ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ recited the verse of Jumu'ah, and Ibn Mas'ud said, 'O Ubayy b. Ka'b, is this how you recite it?' Ubayy remained silent, and they were in the Friday prayer. When the Prophet ﷺ finished, Ubayy said to Ibn Mas'ud, 'You did not perform Jumu'ah today.' So he went to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him, and the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Ubayy spoke the truth.'
