عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَنَّ
عَائِشَةَ، أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى مَرْوَانَ تَشْكُو السَّائِبَ وَكَانَ قَاصًّا، فَقَالَتْ: " وَاللهِ مَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أُكَلِّمَ خَادِمِي " فَنَهَاهُ مَرْوَانُ، فَعَادَ فَشَكَتْهُ أَيْضًا، فَلَقِيَهُ مَرْوَانُ أَيْضًا فَصَكَّهُ، أَوْ قَالَ: " لَطَمَهُ
Translation
✧ 'A'ishah sent to Marwan complaining about al-Sa'ib, who was a storyteller, and said: "By Allah, I cannot speak to my servant." Marwan forbade him, but he returned, so she complained about him again. Marwan met him and struck him on the chest, or said: "He slapped him."
