عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ:
أَمْلِكُوا الْعَجِينَ فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرُ الرَّبْعَيْنِ، أَوْ قَالَ: " خَيْرُ الطَّحِينَيْنِ "، قَالَ هِشَامٌ: رَأَى عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِمَا كَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ
Translation
✧ Take control of the dough, for it is the better of the two quarters, or he said: "the better of the two flours." Hisham said: "He saw it as his duty to command them with what he would command his own family."
