✧ The Imam's Taslim When He Ascends

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُجَالِدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِوَجْهِهِ وَقَالَ: " السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ قَالَ: فَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ يَفْعَلَانِ ذَلِكَ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
Translation
✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ ascended the pulpit, he turned his face toward the people and said: "Peace be upon you." He said: Abu Bakr and Umar used to do that after the Prophet ﷺ.
