✧ Delivering the Sermon While Standing

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ:
خَطَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ سَنَةٍ قِيَامًا، ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُ: تَطْلُبُ بِدَمِ عُثْمَانَ وَتُخَالِفُهُ، فَخَطَبَ قَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا
Translation
✧ Mu'awiyah b. Abi Sufyan delivered a sermon standing for nearly a year. Then it was said to him: You seek the blood of 'Uthman and yet you act contrary to him. So he delivered the sermon standing and sitting.
