عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا مَحْذُورَةَ حِينَ يَطْلُعُ خَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ مِنْ بَابِ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، يُؤَذِّنُ سَاعَةَ يَطْلُعُ، فَلَا يَأْتِي خَالِدٌ مَقَامَهُ الَّذِي يَخْطُبُ فِيهِ، إِلَّا وَقَدْ فَرَغَ أَبُو مَحْذُورَةَ قَالَ: " وَكَذَلِكَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ مَنْ مَضَى
Translation

✧ I saw Abu Mahdhurah, when Khalid b. Sa'id came out from the gate of Banu Makhzum on Friday, he would call the adhan the moment he came out, and Khalid would not reach his place where he used to deliver the sermon except that Abu Mahdhurah had already finished. He said: "Thus did those who came before use to do."
