✧ Delivering the Sermon While Standing

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ بْنِ يُونُسَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ:
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمُ، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ خُطْبَةً أُخْرَى، فَمَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ قَاعِدًا فَقَدْ كَذَبَ
Translation
✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ deliver the Friday sermon standing, then he sat and did not speak, then he stood and delivered another sermon. Whoever tells you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered the sermon sitting has lied.
