✧ Delivering the Sermon While Standing

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَخْطُبُ، وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا، وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا، وَيَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to sit between the two sermons on Friday and preach. His prayer was moderate, and his sermon was moderate, and he would recite verses from the Quran on the pulpit.
