عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ:
لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاشِمَاتِ، وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَاتِ، وَالْمُتَنَمِّصَاتِ، وَالْمُتَفَلِّجَاتِ لِلْحُسْنِ، الْمُغَيِّرَاتِ خَلْقَ اللهِ قَالَ: فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي أُسَيْدٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا: أُمُّ يَعْقُوبَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ لَعَنْتَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ قَالَ: " وَمَا لِي لَا أَلْعَنُ مَنْ لَعَنَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَنْ هُوَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ " قَالَتْ: إِنِّي لَأَقْرَأُ مَا بَيْنَ اللَّوْحَيْنِ وَمَا أَجِدُهُ قَالَ: " إِنْ كُنْتِ قَارِئَةً لَقَدْ وَجَدْتِيهِ " أَمَا قَرَأْتِ ﴿وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا ﴾قَالَتْ: بَلَى قَالَ: " فَإِنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ " قَالَتْ: إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّ أَهْلَكَ يَفْعَلُونَ بَعْضَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ: " فَاذْهَبِي وَانْظُرِي " قَالَ: " فَدَخَلَتْ فَلَمْ تَرَ مِنْ حَاجَتِهَا شَيْئًا، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " لَوْ كَانَتْ كَذَلِكَ لَمْ تُجَامِعْنَا
Translation
✧ May Allah curse the women who tattoo, those who ask for tattooing, those who pluck facial hair, and those who file their teeth for beauty, altering Allah's creation. He said: This reached a woman from Banu Usayd called Umm Ya'qub. She said: O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, it has reached me that you cursed such-and-such. He said: "And why should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed and who are mentioned in the Book of Allah?" She said: I read what is between the two covers, and I do not find it. He said: "If you are a reader, you have indeed found it. Have you not read: 'And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatever he forbids you, abstain from it' (59:7)?" She said: Yes. He said: "For the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it." She said: I think your family do some of that. He said: "Go and look." He said: "She entered and did not see anything of what she sought. 'Abdullah said: 'If she had been like that, she would not have lived with us.'"
