عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَانَ يَنْهَى الْإِمَاءَ مِنَ الْجَلَابِيبِ أَنْ يَتَشَبَّهْنَ بِالْحَرَائِرِ
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab used to forbid female slaves from wearing jalabib, so that they would not imitate free women.
