عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ:
خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَأَخَذَ دِرْعًا فَلَبِسَهُ حَتَّى أُدْرِكَ بِرِدَائِهِ، فَقَامَ بِالنَّاسِ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا يَقُومُ ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ، فَلَوْ جَاءَ إِنْسَانٌ بَعْدَمَا رَكَعَ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ رَكَعَ شَيْئًا مَا حَدَّثَ نَفْسَهُ أَنَّهُ رَكَعَ مِنْ طُولِ الْقِيَامِ، قَالَتْ: فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي هِيَ أَكْبَرُ وَإِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي هِيَ أَسْقَمُ مِنِّي قَائِمَةً فَأَقُولُ: " أَنَا أَحَقُّ أَنْ أَصْبِرَ عَلَى طُولِ الْقِيَامِ مِنْكِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ went out on the day the sun eclipsed. He took a coat of mail and put it on until it was covered by his cloak. He stood with the people for a very long time, standing and then bowing. If someone had come after he bowed, he would not have known that he had bowed at all, nor would he have imagined that he had bowed, because of the length of the standing. She said: I began to look at the woman who was older than me and the woman who was weaker than me, standing, and I said: 'I have more right to endure the long standing than you.'
