✧ Praying for rain

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ:
دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِقَوْمٍ أَنْ يُمْطَرُوا فَلَمْ يُمْطَرُوا، فَقَالَ: " إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ لَكُمْ وَفِي نَفْسِي عَلَيْكُمْ شَيْءٌ فَلَمْ تُمْطَرُوا، وَلَكِنِ الْآنَ تُمْطَرُوا، فَدَعَا لَهُمْ فَمُطِرُوا
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ supplicated for a people that they be given rain, but they were not rained upon. He said, 'I supplicated for you while there was something in my heart against you, so you were not given rain. But now you will be given rain.' He supplicated for them, and they were rained upon.
