عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَوْ غَيْرِهِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ قَالَ:
قَامَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، دَعَوْتَ عَلَى مُضَرَ بِالسَّنَةِ فَمَا يَغِطُّ لَهُمْ بَعِيرٌ، وَمَا يَصِيحُ لَهُمْ صَبِيٌّ، قَالَ: فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا، مَرِيعًا، مُبَارَكًا مَرِيئًا، نَافِعًا طَبَقًا، عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ " قَالَ: فَمَا مَضَى ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ حَتَّى مُطِرُوا، أَوْ مَا مَضَتْ سَابِعَةٌ حَتَّى أَعْطَنَ النَّاسُ بِالْعُشْبِ
Translation
✧ A man stood up to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, you supplicated against Mudar with a year of drought; no camel of theirs grunts and no child of theirs cries. He said: The Prophet ﷺ stood on the pulpit and said: 'O God, give us abundant rain, productive, blessed, wholesome, beneficial, covering, swift not slow.' He said: That day had not passed before they were rained upon, or seven days had not passed before the people were satisfied with vegetation.
