عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَحْوَلُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَطَاءً الْخُرَاسَانِيَّ، يَقُولُ لِطَاوُسٍ: إِنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ:
صَلَاةُ الضُّحَى فِي الْقُرْآنِ، وَلَكِنْ لَا يَغُوصُ عَلَيْهَا إِلَّا غَائِصٌ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: ﴿يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالإِشْرَاقِ ﴾قَالَ طَاوُسٌ: وَاللهِ مَا صَلَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ حَتَّى مَاتَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ
Translation
✧ The Duha prayer is in the Qur'an, but no one plunges into it except one who plunges deep. Then he recited: 'They glorify in the evening and at sunrise.' Tawus said: By God, Ibn Abbas did not pray it until he died, except when he circumambulated the House.
