عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ:
قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَفْضَلُ إِيمَانًا ؟ قَالَ: " أَحْسَنُهُمْ أَخْلَاقًا قَالَ: فَأَيُّ الْإِيمَانِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ: " الصَّبْرُ وَالسَّمَاحَةُ " قَالَ: فَأَيُّ الْهِجْرَةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَاهُ اللهُ عَنْهُ " قَالَ: فَأَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ " قَالَ: فَأَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ: " جُهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ " قَالَ: فَأَيُّ الصَّلَوَاتِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ: " طُولُ الْقُنُوتِ
Translation
✧ A man said to the Prophet ﷺ: O Messenger of God, which of the believers is most excellent in faith? He said: The best of them in character. He said: Then which faith is most excellent? He said: Patience and forbearance. He said: Then which emigration (hijrah) is most excellent? He said: Whoever abandons what God has forbidden. He said: Then which jihad is most excellent? He said: Whoever's horse is hamstrung and his blood is shed. He said: Then which charity is most excellent? He said: The effort of the one with little. He said: Then which prayers are most excellent? He said: Lengthy qunut (standing in supplication).
