✧ Voluntary prayer before and after the obligatory prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ " يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَبَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَبَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَبَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ "، وَذُكِرَ لِي - ابْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَائِلُ - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَلَمْ أَرَهُ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ "would pray two rak'ahs before Zuhr and two after it, two after Jumu'ah, two after Maghrib, and two after 'Isha'." And it was mentioned to me - Ibn 'Umar was the one who said it - that the Prophet ﷺ would pray two rak'ahs before Subh, but I did not see it.
