عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ،
أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ يُوتِرُ بِهَا، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَقُومَ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ "، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ الْعِشَاءَ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَةً، فَقُلْتُ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ: أَوْهَمْتَ فِي صَلَاتِكَ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قُلْتُ: إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ رَكْعَةً قَالَ: إِنَّا نَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī,
✧ Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas used to pray one rak'ah after it, then perform the witr with it, then sleep until he got up in the middle of the night. Ma'mar said: I prayed Isha with the son of Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas, and when he finished the obligatory prayer, he stood and prayed one rak'ah. When he finished, I said: Did you make a mistake in your prayer? He said: No. I said: You prayed one rak'ah. He said: We, the people of the house, do that.
