عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنِ الْوِتْرِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ، وَصَلِّ صَلَاةَ الضُّحَى وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ، وَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَهَا، وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ، وَضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ، هَذَا كُلُّهُ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ مَا خَلَا الْوِتْرَ. قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: فَإِنَّ اللهَ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from Qatādah, who said:
✧ A man asked Ibn al-Musayyib about witr, and he said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ performed witr, and if you leave it, there is nothing upon you. And pray the duha prayer, and if you leave it, there is nothing upon you. And pray two rak'ahs before zuhr and two rak'ahs after it, and if you leave them, there is nothing upon you. And the Messenger of God ﷺ offered a sacrifice, and if you leave it, there is nothing upon you." He said: I said: O Abu Muhammad, we have come to know all of this except witr. He said: It has reached me that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Indeed, God is odd (witr) and loves oddness (witr)."
