✧ May One Pray the Prescribed Prayer on an Animal Facing the Qibla or Otherwise, and How to Pray

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ:
إِنَّهُ كَانَ يَسِيرُ فِي مَاءٍ وَطِينٍ، فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ الْمَكْتُوبَةُ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ قَالَ: " وَخَشِينَا أَنْ تَفُوتَنَا الصَّلَاةُ فَاسْتَخَرْنَا اللهَ وَاسْتَقْبَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ، فَأَوْمَأْنَا عَلَى دَوَابِّنَا إِيمَاءً
Translation
✧ He was traveling through water and mud, and the prescribed prayer arrived, but he could not get out of that water. He said: We feared that the prayer would elapse us, so we sought guidance from God and faced the qibla, and we gestured on our riding animals.
