✧ When May One Break the Fast When Setting Out as a Traveler

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ:
إِذَا خَرَجَ الرَّجُلُ مُسَافِرًا فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَقَدْ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا أَفْطَرَ إِنْ شَاءَ حِينَ يَخْرُجُ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar informed us, from Jābir, from al-Shaʿbī, who said:
✧ When a man sets out as a traveler in the month of Ramadan having begun the day fasting, he may break the fast if he wishes when he sets out.
