✧ Fasting While Traveling

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
إِنَّمَا كُرِهَ الصَّوْمُ لِلْمُسَافِرِ لِأَنَّ الْقَوْمَ يَقُولُونَ: ارْحَلُوا لَهُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ صَائِمٌ، وَاعْلِفُوا لَهُ دَابَّتَهُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ صَائِمٌ
Translation
✧ Fasting for the traveler was only disliked because people would say: Depart for his sake, for he is fasting; and feed his mount, for he is fasting.
