machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad informed me, from his father, who said:
✧ When the Prophet ﷺ was on his expedition for the conquest at Usfan or al-Kadid — Abd al-Malik was uncertain — a cup was handed to him while he was on his mount in the month of Ramadan. The traveling groups began passing by him while the cup was in his hand, then he drank. Afterwards he learned that some people had fasted, and he said: Those are the disobedient ones, three times.
