✧ Supererogatory Prayer While Traveling

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قُلْتُ:
إِذَا سَافَرْتُ فَقَصَرْتُ الصَّلَاةَ أُصَلِّي قَبْلَهَا إِنْ شِئْتُ أَوْ بَعْدَهَا ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، آخُذُ بِالرُّخْصَةِ وَالسُّنَّةِ فَأَقْصُرُ، ثُمَّ أُحِبُّ زِيَادَةَ الْخَيْرِ فَأَتَطَوَّعُ
Translation
✧ If I travel and shorten the prayer, should I pray before it if I wish or after it? He said: "Yes, I take the concession and the sunnah, so I shorten, then I love extra good, so I perform supererogatory prayers."
