✧ One Who Forgot the Prayer of Residence, and Combining Two Prayers While Traveling

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ أَجِيرًا لِسَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: فَيَرْتَحِلُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ، فَكَانَ سَالِمٌ يَأْمُرُ نِسَاءَهُ يَجْمَعْنَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ أَسِيرُ بِهِمْ، وَيَتَخَلَّفُ هُوَ فِي الْمَنْزِلِ، فَلَا أَدْرِي مَا يَصْنَعُ
Translation
✧ I was a hired worker for Sālim b. ʿAbd Allāh. He said: He would set out from Madinah to Makkah, and Sālim would instruct his wives to combine ẓuhr and ʿaṣr, then I would travel with them, while he himself would remain behind at the stopping place. I do not know what he would do.
