✧ When does a traveler shorten the prayer when he sets out on a journey

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
إِذَا أَرَدْتَ السَّفَرَ فَجَاوَزْتَ الْجِسْرَ أَوِ الْخَنْدَقَ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
Translation
✧ When you intend to travel and you cross the bridge or the trench, then pray two rak'ahs.
