Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abū Bakr, ʿUmar, and ʿUthmān at the beginning of his caliphate used to pray at Makkah and at Minā two rakʿahs; then ʿUthmān prayed it as four." This reached Ibn Masʿūd, and he said: "Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we return." Then he stood and prayed four. It was said to him: "You said 'Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we return,' and then you prayed four?" He said: "Dissent is evil."
