عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَيَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ:
بَيْنَمَا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ يُصَلِّي ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، قَالَ أُسَيْدٌ: غَشِيَتْنِي مِثْلُ السَّحَابَةِ فِيهَا مِثْلُ الْمَصَابِيحِ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ نَائِمَةٌ إِلَى جَنْبِي وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ، وَالْفَرَسُ مَرْبُوطٌ فِي الدَّارِ قَالَ: فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ يَنْفِرَ الْفَرَسُ، فَتَفْزَعَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَتُلْقِيَ وَلَدَهَا، وَانْصَرَفْتُ مِنْ صَلَاتِي، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ أَصْبَحْتُ، فَقَالَ لِي: اقْرَأْ يَا أُسَيْدُ، ذَلِكَ مَلَكٌ اسْتَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ
Translation
✧ While Usayd b. Hudayr al-Ansari was praying one night, Usayd said: I was covered by something like a cloud containing what looked like lamps, while the woman was sleeping beside me and she was pregnant, and the horse was tethered in the house. He said: I feared that the horse would startle, the woman would be frightened and miscarry her child, so I stopped my prayer. I mentioned that to the Messenger of God ﷺ when morning came, and he said to me: Recite, Usayd; that was an angel listening to the Qur'an.
