عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
دَخَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَارِيُّ، وَالْمُتَوَكِّلُ بْنُ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ عَلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ: مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: الْمُتَوَكِّلُ بْنُ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، تُجَّارٌ كَسَبَةٌ، تُجَّارٌ كَسَبَةٌ يُؤَخِّرُونَ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَتَغَنَّ بِالْقُرْآنِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, from ʿAṭāʾ, who said:
✧ Abd Allah b. Umar al-Qari and al-Mutawakkil b. Abi Nuhayk entered upon Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas. Sa'd said to Abd Allah: 'Who is this?' He said: 'Al-Mutawakkil b. Abi Nuhayk.' He said: 'Yes, traders who earn, traders who earn; they delay. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He is not of us who does not sing the Quran.'
