Translation

✧ We arrived in Madinah, and a severe epidemic fever from Madinah afflicted us. People were frequently praying their voluntary prayers sitting. The Prophet ﷺ came out to them at noon while they were praying their voluntary prayers sitting, and said: "The prayer of one sitting is half the prayer of one standing." He said: Then people began to force themselves to stand.
