Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ fell ill, so he ordered Abū Bakr to lead the people in prayer. The Prophet ﷺ prayed for the people sitting, and he placed Abū Bakr behind him, between him and the people. He said: And the people prayed behind him standing. Then the Prophet ﷺ said: “If I could start my affair over again, I would not have you pray except sitting, following the prayer of your imām. As long as he prays standing, then pray standing, and if he prays sitting, then pray sitting.”
