✧ Laughter and smiling during prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
إِنْ ضَحِكْتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ مُتَعَمِّدًا، ثُمَّ قَرْقَرْتَ فَقَدْ قَطَعْتَ صَلَاتَكَ "، قُلْتُ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ ضَحِكْتُ نَاسِيًا فِي سَجْدَتَيْنِ، وَأَنَا أَرَى أَنِّي قَدْ فَرَغْتُ ؟ قَالَ: " مَا أَدْرِي لَعَلَّكَ إِنْ أَوْفَيْتَ مَا بَقِيَ عَلَى مَا مَضَى، ثُمَّ سَجَدْتَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ، بَلْ هُوَ قَوْلُهُ يُقْضَى عَنْكَ
Translation
✧ If you laugh deliberately during prayer, and then guffaw, you have interrupted your prayer." I said: "What do you think if I laugh forgetfully in two prostrations, while I think that I have finished?" He said: "I do not know. Perhaps if you complete what remains upon what has passed, and then prostrate the two prostrations of forgetfulness, that will suffice you. Rather, it is his saying: it will be made up for you."
