✧ Regarding a man who led a group in prayer and prayed one or two rak'ahs with them, then had a hadath and appointed a man who had not caught the beginning of the prayer, he said: "The one appointed should lead them in the imam's prayer, then retreat while sitting, and appoint another man by crawling, and he [the new imam] should say the salam with them. Then he [the appointed one] stands and completes [his own prayer]."
