Translation

✧ I saw him praying voluntary prayer, then he prostrated while sitting. I said to him, 'What is this?' He said, 'I frequently forget.' I said, 'Is there forgetfulness in voluntary prayer?' He said, 'Ayyub told me from Ibn Sirin that he did not consider one who forgot in voluntary prayer to owe anything.' He said, 'And al-Hasan considered it forgetfulness and prostrated in it as he prostrates in the obligatory prayer.'
