machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said:
✧ I said to Ata: When does one prostrate the two prostrations of forgetfulness? He said: When he says the taslim. I do not like that anything be placed between them and 'peace be upon you.' I said: Do I say takbir when I lower my back for prostration and when I raise it? He said: Yes, there is nothing in them except that, unless a person remembers his Lord, so he completes their prostration. When he raises his back, let him set it upright until every bone returns to its joint.
