عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَطَاءٌ:
صَلَّى بِنَا ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ الْمَغْرِبَ فَقُلْتُ: وَحَضَرْتَ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَسَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ، قَالَ النَّاسُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الثَّالِثَةَ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ، وَسَجَدَهُمَا النَّاسُ مَعَهُ قَالَ: فَدَخَلَ أَصْحَابٌ لَنَا عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ ذَلِكَ، كَأَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعِيبَ بِذَلِكَ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: " أَصَابَ وَأَصَابُوا
Translation
✧ Ibn al-Zubayr led us in Maghrib one day. I said: And you attended that? He said: Yes. He gave taslim after two rak'ahs. The people said: Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah. Then he stood and prayed the third. When he gave taslim, he performed the two prostrations of forgetfulness, and the people performed them with him. He said: Some companions of ours entered upon Ibn 'Abbas and one of them mentioned that, as if he wanted to criticize Ibn al-Zubayr for it. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'He did right, and they did right.'
