✧ Leftover Water of a Cat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنِ الْهِرِّ يَلَغُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ قَالَ: يُغْسَلُ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ: مَرَّةً أَوْ ثَلَاثًا

Translation

✧ I asked Ibn al-Musayyib about a cat that laps from a vessel. He said: 'It should be washed once or twice.' And al-Hasan used to say: 'Once or three times.'
